I hear you. There are other aspects of ADHD that I don't discuss here that contributed to my diagnosis, and my psychiatrist and I agree that many people could technically meet clinical criteria while not necessarily suffering significant impairment in their daily lives. For me, I think I am generally pretty good at masking certain symptoms and excelling despite the ADHD—but I think it's made certain things a lot harder than they need to be.
