Certainly, some people *have* to. I think that in this way, the financial security I have via my husband's work—which is *such* a privilege!—does have a downside for me. It removes that pressure that would otherwise stimulate me enough to get the job done. Without the pressure, I need much more of a core, unwavering, deep interest in my work. And that's hard to come by.
